Chester W. Taylor, III, DVM (Dr. Chet)
Owner and operator Dade City Animal Clinic, has been with this practice for over 38 years. From the age of thirteen, he worked as an assistant to his mentor and former Dade City Animal Clinic owner, Dr. H. R. Smalley. Dr. Chet graduated from Pasco High School in 1974 and after attending Pasco-Hernando Community College in 1975, went on the earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences in 1977 and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 from the University of Florida, Gainesville. After graduation, he stayed on as an intern at the University of Florida in Rural Animal Medicine for one year. In 1983, Dr. Chet reunited with Dr. Smalley at Dade City Animal Clinic as an associate, specializing in large animal medicine. After over thirty years in the same location and upon Dr. Smalley’s retirement, Dr. Chet bought the practice in 1997.
Dr. Chet is a strong supporter of the surrounding communities. He is the Pasco County Fair Veterinarian and a member of the Pasco County Fair Board. Dr. Chet is an annual steer and pig buyer, a Friend of the Florida State 4-H and supporter of the local high schools’ Future Farmers of America chapters.
Dr. Chet lives in Dade City with his wife, Becky and their four children; Tristan, Becca, Olivia and Lauren.

Judy is the adopted mom of every pet at Dade City Animal Clinic. When she’s away from her work family she enjoys spending time walking at the beach with other friends and family.
Technology and Large Animal Manager
Christina enjoys Horseback riding, cattle ranching, traveling and reading. When she’s not at work she spends her time on the ranch with her horse, Little Man, Cats, Sausage and Cammie and Dogs, Ofa, Goose and Cheeto and of course the cows.
Toni enjoys scapbooking and reading when she’s not at work. She also loves spending time with her dogs, Bo and Sunny, cats, O’Malley, Squirt and Munchkin and her horses and cattle.
When she’s not a work, Connie loves to let loose pitching horseshoes or corn toss with friends. When she’s not hanging out, she enjoys reading with her canine companions Dox and Dixie.
Front Office Manager
When Christine isn’t at work she loves to read and spend time with her family including canine companion, Spirit and Boots the cat.
When Leah isn’t at work she’s headed to the beach, kayaking, or a concert to see her favorite bands play.
When Jenny isn’t working she can be found caring for her rabbits or playing with her 4 dogs, Duke, Sampson, Fred and Sharpie.
Tamela can usually be found at Disney, the beach, or at home spending time with her two dogs Hippo and Winnie and her cats Nismo, Boo, and Violet.
When she’s not at work she loves riding four wheelers and playing with her son Cooper.
Jen became a certified veterinary assistant in Feb. 2017 and is working on completing her degree to be a certified veterinary technician.
